Hard to turn ignition when it's cold.
Need some advice here. Who has used what to free up sluggish sticky ignition switches? Mine gets near impossible to turn when it gets below freezing and it won't return to run after starting without a little help. I don't want to damage it or make it worse little help?

thats just what WD-40 is for. it is a little thin. that means it will go into tight places. but after a a few mo. it will be gone. dupont has just came with a big line of new lubes. i found them at home depot.

WD-40
I had the thought of good ol WD but was concerned for the electrical inside the switch. I think I will verify that it's safe for electrical if I can but will most likely give it a shot. IT has gotten to the point where when it's even the least bit cold out I have a heck of a time getting it to turn. Got to do something! thanks guys.

Ok guys used WD-40 and started working on setting the timing. After cranking and running periodically all day now when I turn the key switch to run the interior light goes off And I get nothing. No dash lights, no interior, no click or anything from the starter. Little help? Compressed air and blow it out very gently maybe? Possible it's not even related?

I don't know for sure if the headlights come on but I do know if I flip them on the interior light goes out, turn them off and it comes back on. Tried hooking a jump box up and no change so I don't think it's battery. Also I got it to crank one more time since this happened and it ran for a second and shut off.

Ok so I came home hooked up the negative cable (the truck sits so often I have one of the quick disconnect negative battery cables) and she fired right up and ran. ????
