Headlight and dimmer switch for 72 barracuda

Im trying to replace my headlight switch and dash light dimmer switch on my 72 cuda and cannot find replacements in Classic Industries or in YearOne? Every switch I find for the headlights is a different style, not the black flipper style with the white dot. Its the same with the dash light dimmer switch everyone I find is a floor mounted style and not the black *** e bodies have? Anyone have any advise?

My fault... used wrong wording...dash bulbs and dome light is what the **** i looking for controls. It is rotary and does dim dash bulbs. Im also looking for the headlight switch..this is the same flipper style in ebodies...my 70 rt challenger had same black flipper with white dot on it as my 72 cuda does.

I mis-read. Sorry, don't know where you would get those. Frankly, I'd be tempted to take the old one apart. You might be able to carefully bend away the crimp, or if need, grind / cut it off, then epoxy (JB weld) it back. What any dash control consists of is nothing more than a simple rheostat and a switch for the dome to ground

The contacts and wire become dirty, corroded, etc

One question is, are you CERTAIN it is the culprit. The dash lamps on all these girls is a bit of a trick

First power TO the dash lamps comes FROM the tail lamp fuse. So that circuit must be working first

Next, power goes through the light switch contacts, and TO the dimmer control, so you must be getting power to the dimmer.

Through the dimmer it goes and out on a traditionally tan wire. FROM THE DIMMER power NEXT GOES TO the dash lamp fuse (inst fuse). This means this fuse only has power when the tail lamps are on and working, and when the dash lamp control is turned brighter.

Common practice is to "twist" the livin' daylights out of that dimmer back and forth vigoursly several times to scrub it clean.

easy way to fix the dash lights is by pass the panel dimmer switch.

on most other mopars of this era the panel dimmer is built into the headlight switch
