Headlight Switch

Quick Question about removing a headlight switch....I suspect my headlight switch has gone out (no dash lights or tail lights, yet fuse is fine), so I was hoping to remove it sometime this weekend. Can it be removed and replaced with the instrument cluster in place or do you have to take off the istrument cluster too? It's a ralley instrument cluster by the way. Thanks

i have been told you can. i believe mine has gone out on me as well, i talked to a few guys and they said that it is more than likely a "cold" solder but i have not had the testicular fortitude to attempt to re-solder it.

I'm guessing that was the problem, considering the switch and part of the wiring harness connector had melted plastic on them.... Going to have to put some more female connectors on there another afternoon.
