Unless you are running a stock 6 You will be better off finding a A body 8 3/4

Mine came with a stock 230 hp 318, A904 tranny and a 7 1/4 rear from the factory.

a 8 1/4 will wrk fine for the street and are more available they can handle 300 hp all day and you still get a large selections of gear ratios
