440 engine parts worth/interchangeability
I am trying to determine if I should sell the rest of the stuff I took off the 1977 440 engine I am still rebuilding like: the intake, distributor, carb, lean burn. Will those fit on my 1977 400 engine if I ever decide to restore it?
Also I assume I can sell the cylinder heads, pistons, cam & parts (lifters, rods, and timing chain), and the cast crank as I will have no use for them.
I already sold the valve covers (now thinking I should have checked to see if they'd fit on the 400), and the exhaust manifolds.

Im pretty sure your intake and distributor wont fit. The 440 is a rb engine (raised block) while the 400 is a b engine. They have a different deck height so some parts wont interchange.

I didn't think so, but I am nowhere near any of the parts to visual compare, and some sites say there is some interchangeability.
Now that I have a confirmation on the intake, and distributor. Will the converted distributor on the 400 work with the lean burn carb?
