67' charger resto

hello, im new to the forum, but my grandfather is going to retire in 3 years, he had a 67' charger back in the late 60's and it was an original HEMI car, he had it for awhile and rebuilt it, but that was his favorite car, he wishes he never got rid of it, and after seeing them go for a couple hundred thousand i realize that i cant afford to get him one for his retirement, but, id like to get a 67 and make it a hemi clone. if done right, how much would this all cost, i know im prolly in over 30k on this project, but would the resale value.(not that id ever ever ever sell it) be worth the money invested? my grandfather raised me and i feel it would be an amazing bonding/retirement gift. ive been thinking about it for years. any thoughts? and would a 66 be worth the same? i know i can get my hands on one but id rather have a 67

the 67 Chargers are relatively reasonable in price , I met a guy at carlisle with a 66 Hemi for sale , it needed a resto but it was a solid & reasnably priced car
