72 Charger, 440, headers?
Hi new to forum;
Has anybody installed headers on a 72 Charger SE, 440, with PS, AC, Auto 727 slap-stik, stock starter? If so, what kind? what heads (stock, EZ, Edelbrock, etc.) Any fit issues?
If I can't repair the driver side stock cylinder head and stock exhaust manifold (no, it wasn't me who drilled through both to fit a 1/2 bolt), I may need to go to headers.
Thanks:

I've got Hooker headers on my 74 Charger SE, but i think you might have more room than I do. TTI makes a great, but pricey header as well. Serious doubt there'll be no fitment issues, always are, but nothing a little persuasion can't fix.
Don't want to know about the head/header bolt. But with either the 1/2" bolt or a heli-coil is should be workable.

If this car came with a big block then you'll have no fittament probs, but if it's a small block car originally and someone installed a big block in it there will be major fittament issues [small block cars used different inner fenders than big block cars] I did a 73 charger 318 car we dropped in a 440/727 and headers would not clear the passengers inner fender [HP manifolds will barely]. There probly some custom made over priced ones out there that would have fit but money was our problem so HP manifolds was our choice.
