OK so awhile ago my 904 in my 78 Chrysler Cordoba crapped out on me and it had the lock up torque converter, and i recently got a 904 out of like a satellite or something and i don't think it has a lock up converter. so my question is should i swap the "newer transmission" in and keep my older converter or should i swap in the "newer transmission" with the converter that came with it?

I would think that if your trans blew up then the fluid was contaminated and there for the TC is too. I wouldn't, not sure how much new ones are but might be something to think about. I.M.O.(in my opinion)
