Advice with 505" stroker

I have a 505" stroker in my 69 Super bee. It currently has the stock 906 heads. The motor was in the car when i bought it and the paper work doesnt include a cam card. It does have a dyno sheet and makes about 400hp and 580 ft lbs of torque at the fly wheel. I am planning on pulling the cam out and sending it to comp cams to get it measured. It is really high compression. I have to run about 5 gallons of 110 race fuel with each tank of 91 to prevent detonation at 7000 ft of elevation. My question is can i get the numbers im seeing in magazines (600+ hp) with Stealth aluminum heads and a bigger cam. It has an edelbrock rpm intake manifold, dougs long tube headers. This seems to be the combination everyone is running to get the big numbers. It is a 4 speed with 3.91 gears.

Stock 906 heads? I'm no pro, but some of the guys here can get easily 50 hp on a stock motor by doing the heads! I think you already know your limiting factor. The rest sounds like a good combination. What is the CR? I like 10.5:1, but your altitude may skewer that advice. Is the goal to run well on 93 pump gas? You ever talk to Muscle Motors?[they do strokers] Ask for Mike, and if he has the time, he might really help you out.

get the cam spec'd, and get a set of performance heads, i heard some problems with the stealth heads, well only one problem, the chamber is a lil bigger than most headgaskets so the head gasket hangs in the chamber of the head a bit, (i havent seen it for my self) but shouldnt be a big deal to get a gasket to fit right,
400 hp at the crank does seem rather low, cam and heads play a big roll,

USe these heads and recompute compression and you may not have to change pistons. Pick cam based on PSI not some ratio. most 230 duration cams need about 160 to 170 psi.

you should be able to measure your own cam. lift off baseX1.5= valve lift

The 906 heads have not been ported. I need to check with muscle motors too, i've read a lot of good things about them. Yeah i would like it to run on pump gas and ditch the race fuel. Do you think the Edelbrock heads are a better choice? I've read about measuring cams that way, will lift be enough information to decide on a new cam? Thanks for the great advice!
