bumper fitting on a 72 road runner
i was looking at my road runner and im trying to decide wheather or not to have both the rear and front bumpers shaved so they fit closer to the body is this somthing you would do or is it somthing youd leave alone i like the look of shaved bumpers but they are harder to clean behind unless if you take them off lets hear your imput

well zach beauty is in the eye of the beholder but what if your in a fender bender so much for that little extra clearance ,...... some body work time? maybe havent really seen it done to that kinda car before but it would look cleaner i think but on the other hand if ma mopar would have wanted it she'd done it before it left the hive ,......now remember this is just my opinion and i kinda see myself as a purist

I think i am going to have to agree with ef8340 on this one , the look would look cool but to take them off when you want to clean behind them ? They look good the way they are but its yours and no budy elses and if its what you want go for it > either way its all good and will look good

from the factory you had about a pinky fit all the way around the car. Most never fit right, but to really get it right even if you've been slammed (like mine) is to first attach the bumper brackets to your bumper, then roughly align your brackets to the frame and attach them, then go from there, shim and sledgehammer as nessesary. you'll get it right, if you simply cant get it to fit right, then your gunna have to drill wider holes in the brackets to slide them back and fourth.
