Sure... Any gasket Scraper should be fine.... Just try not damage the gasket surface of the block.

Gasket remover spray is another option to help....

k cool. A friend mention that I should turn the motor over to bottom the pistons and clean the cyl walls with ATF. Should I only turn the motor by Hand or can I use a Remote trigger?

And if you use Zep 45 or WD40 as you are cleaning the surface it helps the pads last longer as it lubricates them and also helps them to clean better.. And flat raters are sure better than flat liners And I have to say we spell the same too...I think sense is what you were trying to say/spell...Love ya bro...Bill

LOL, yeah Right up town... They pipe sunshine in where I live... My whole town is RedNeck and we are stuck in the fifties... Now the big thing is everyone is running around with diesel trucks with stacks cut through the bed and the blacker the smoke the better.. Flying all kind of different 4'x6' flags... American, Rebel, Don't Tread on me, MIA, it doesn't matter just fly what you feel... Now that's REDNECK I don't care who you are...Just plain Schoharie County N.Y. (or Scary county as we call it)...Bill

millrights use a special scraper that has a little flex in the shank. and a carbide bit with a special grind. used it fit the milling machine ways. and used to put VERY small groves to hold oil. using this tool takes some skill. but it makes a great gasket scrapper to.
