Electronic Fuel Pump

So I need a new fuel pump, and im debating between going mechanical vs electronic. Can someone explain the difference between the two and pros and cons of them. Thanks

mechanical stock right now, i'm looking to keep the motor mostly stock but would also like the pump to be able to support about 500 horse down the line

They do make some high flow mechanical fuel pumps. What motor are you running?

Mechanical is cheap and easy. There are many different ways to go with an electric plus wiring them. Not to mention, they can be loud sometimes. I'd go mechanical.
