Help with indentifying 60's Satellite

Bit of a backstory: My grandfather was deeply involved with the racing and hot rod scene his whole life. Sometime in the early 80s he bought a Plymouth Satellite. He passed away a few years back. We still have the entire car, although it is in multiple pieces scattered throughout the buildings on his land. I live on the other side of the country, so I cannot get the VIN or anything like that to track down this data right away. He passed years before I became interested in cars (unfortunate for me, his knowledge would be a huge help to me in this hobby). I do remember him going on and on about how this car had a very rare combination of options and how it is worth some serious money, but I admittedly know very little about the specifics.

What I DO know is that its either a 66 or 67 Satellite. It has all the original parts, completely unmodified, and is a factory 426/4 speed car with an 8 3/4 in. rear end (I have this piece at my residence). It's 2 tone red with a white roof, and has a full center console. Thats all I really know about it.

Im basically trying to get a rough idea about how many like this were made. I understand that a factory 426/4 speed car is worth restoring, which I plan to do, but if anyone has any useful knowledge on these cars Id love to hear it. I don't see many of these around. Im not sure if this is enough information to go off of, but if anyone knows the production numbers or how I could find them I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Start over at the (MYMOPAR) Site and use the tools/reference's and see what turns up. You can also find a link to other decoder sites that will help when you et some of those numbers together.
Also Check with "mrmopartech" he has some good info at his finger tips...

Welcome o the site. Hope to see some photos of the car and your progress on the restoration !!!!

Keep us posted

Is it a 426 wedge or a 426 hemi makes a big difference.
