but for a 1973 satellite im having a hard time even finding that style hood because i don't even know the name of it.
so im wondering if there's any way i can get a factory steel one or a aftermarket fiberglass one for me car

thats a 68-69 road runner hood I have never seen a 73 road runner/satellite with a hood like that not sure if they even make a hood like that for that car you might be able to modify a fiber glass one from usbody.com

You can make a hood that way. find 1 hopefully thats rusted up around the edges and not usable except for that. then cut the vented parts of the donor hood and weld them into the flat hood of your sat.

ill look into that idea because i really like the way it flares out like that, but do those actually vent or are they for looks ?

Yes, they do vent out, if you got the air grabber option, if not they got blockoff plates. But both types of vents and plates are availiable from year one. cut about 2" past the raised areas and then you can graft them onto your flat satty hood.

goto: parts for sale and I'll have a guy I know that has one of these hoods, list it for you. He has had this Road Runner/Satellite in his yard forever.
