How do i know if it's a real Road Runner
I'm shopping for a 1970 Road Runner and want to make sure i don't get stuck with a clone. How do i tell from the VIN if it is a real Road Runner?
Also, I see prices all over the place (from sub $20K to over $100K). How much is a good price for a decent driver?
thanks

I have owned several road runners, i would try to find one that lived in the west, colorado, montana, new mexico, etc. they are usually very little rust, otherwise body work, trim etc. can get expensive, that is how i buy them with as little rust as possible. I have owned rusty ones and rust free ones and the one you will enjoy is the least rusty. Just make sure it runs and drives. You can always upgrade the engine.

Just to make sure no one has changed the VIN plate, check it against the data plate on the inner fender, and the number stamped into the radiator support and on the trunk lip. They should all match at least the sequence number portion of the tag, i.e, RM23U0G330255. The bold Italicised numbers should be in all those places, as well as the VIN number
