Long Ram engine

I am going to install a Long Ram manifold on a engine to used in a 32 ford hot rod. Which engine would be smart to use and what mods should I have done to it. I know there are better setups then the long rams but they look sooo cool.

Thanks,
Bill

Welcome Bill. There is a fantastic article in the Dec 2010 issue of Mopar Action called 50years of Chrysler Ram Induction. How to get I don't know, searching it is difficult. I really dig the idea, I remember seeing a 30 something Plymouth Hot Rod with two 4's on a 383 sticking out farther than the hood. It was wicked cool.

Unlike the one-piece manifolds, which must fit either a B or an RB engine, you can put the long ram on any big block. Since they are a "torque" manifold, I'd think they would work fair on ANY build that can handle the two carbs. Originally, the carbs were not all that large, either.

I'd go with a 440 426w or 413
