have a 67 belverdere with orig. headliner but as I taking it apart the insulation is now almost powder,was wondering if the original insulation from 67 had any bad chemicals etc. in them.Of course I will wear a mask but would still like to know

 

They found that that "new-car smell" is actually toxic! Formaldahides! Any toxic fumes escaped long ago from your headliner. It is nothing but a particulate hazard now. So wear the dust mask.
