Question

Hello, I'm new to the forums and have a few questions , I have a 1972 dodge charger I am in the process of restoring , car has minor rust spots no real damage to it and was wondering when it comes to the bumpers being chromed vs paint what is the better option , I know being re chromed cost alot but does painting them really hold up?

No paint doesn't last. If the bumpers have been painted on a restored car ? IT makes me wonder what other short cuts were made to build the car.
I think it costs around $1000 now days to re chrome a set of bumpers

The car is like it was when i bought it pretty much I payed 1,800 for it and drove it home had it alitte over 2 years now, good solid car i put it on a lift and checked it out no rust beside one of the pans under the back seat little hole about the size of a 50 cent piece right above where the tail pipes stop and the trunk pan is shot, originally came with a 318 but has a 360 in it now ,I recently had a friend pull the motor and go through it while it was out I bought me a sand blaster from tractor supply and sand blasted the whole engine bay and then my buddy painted it for me before we put the motor back in.
