Quick Trunk latch question
I just picked up a 1970 roadrunner and the car is extremely clean the one problem I have is the trunk. the latch itself flips easy back and forth using my thumb. However I have to slam the lid to get it to close and I do mean slam!!!.. I checked the line-up and it's dead on ... I'm sure I'm doing something simple wrong

On my 72, the latch would open too far when it was unlocked and wouldn't catch when closed, so I ended up running a piece of wire around it. Might have even been something like that originally because there is a little groove where I have it. But it works alot better now!
