what about mounting the gauges under the radio under the dash?

or in the glove box, or in the trunk.

It'll work, this is just one company that does it but you get the idea.

Radio

I saw on another forum a guy took a newer / modern style radio and put the internals into his original radio case. I searched but could not find the thread. It was in www.roadrunnernest.com I can post an inquerry and see if he is in to doing that for you.
Do you have an original radio as I see there is none in your dash.

Did you follow the link I posted earlier? You needed to scroll down to see the 71-74 B body radio.

See if you can contact the guy from Roadrunnernest and have him build you one. If he would for $100-150 it would be a good deal. I have an AM-FM that works fine or I would consider contacting him B-4 hacking up my dash or spending $550

I thought you were talking the same thing as I. Sorry. For under 2 cnotes I'd give it a try for my car. I'd like to be able to plug-in my Ipod or mp3 too. While we are talking sound, and I DONT want to hijack this thread, what are folks using these days for surround speakers WITHOUT hacking our panels? I have some old "cubes" [4"x4"] from a 90's era Bose home theater system that I'm scratching my chin about. They would fit under the dash quite well, aimed at the footwell area.

I also vote for the glovebox. I have done it before, plus it keep the setup out of view from people looking for a reason to break in to the car.
