Rims on a GTX

As you all know, I have a 1967 GTX.
Right now, it has a old set of Cragar's on it.
I want to get new rims, but I wanna get the same size that the car originally had. It is a drum brake car, so did it originally come with 14'' or 15'' rims?

I would say 15" wheels, but am not sure. Wouldn't it say if you ran the VIN?

VIN won't tell you wheel size, I'd guess (and it's just a guess) that being a GTX it probably had 15's on it from the factory

well, i looked into it a little more, and i think, think, the car came with 14X5.5 rims, but the 15'' might have been an option

hey gtx. yes 15`s could be ordered. are you wanting to go back to a stock look? or something, sporty? If you want aftermarket. i would recomend a set of the new torque thrust 2 wheels. w. the charcoal centers, man they would look kick but on your gtx. If stock, Id do the magnum 500 `s w. redlines in 15". that would look refined.

i was thinking of going to redlines, but i have tires on the car that are new, (they came with the car) so, that rules out the redlines (i am trying to save some money, as new tires are expensive)
i have the car looking completely stock, down to the valve covers
but, i think the cragar s/s are cool.
i have those on the car now, but the chrome on them is pitted, so i figured just to get a new set of them

do anyone know where to buy the original magnum rims?
they are reproductions, so the chrome piece is welded onto them, right?

Are you talking about the trim ring? I'm old, so some things are going to be fuzzy, but if I remember right, the early Magnums were chromed all the way to the edge, no trim ring required, and later, maybe '69, they went to the paint and trim ring set up.
