Waddaya mean by grinding? Sometimes if you turn the wheel when the car isn't moving, the power steering pump will squeal. Is that it?

I put KYB Gas shocks all around on my dart, and it stiffened it up quite a bit!

It's either shocks or torsion bars going south.

Push each fender down a few times and release, if the car keeps bouncing up and down, it's the shocks. If it stops after one bounce, it might be the T-bars.

If you adjusted the height by playing with the T-bars, you may have gone too far.

Grinding is in the column, actually pulls it out of drive. Have to try shocks then maybe mrs with the torsion bars. All small things....next find or why my dash lights don't work! Thank you for the tips guys.

Different animal: If the grinding is in the steering column, that doesn't sound like suspension in the usual sense. Sounds like something is putting tension on the steering column or shaft. Might want to have that looked at, especially if it's throwing the car out of gear.

sorry for the confusion.
the car needs a suspension upgrade for sure.
the column feels like the steering wheel is grinding against the top of the column, when i say pulling it out of gear i mean whatever is causing the friction is literally grabbing the column shifter when i turn the wheel and pulling it into nuetral.

Almost sounds like the steering column / shaft was bent or came out of alignment. Sorry, really hard to tell without seeing it. The car might need a suspension upgrade, but doubt that's the cause of steering wheel the grinding.

Unless something is just out of alignment, a new column might be your quickest fix, but you really need someone familiar with that stuff to take a look.
