tow dolly

it should fit we just put a half ton truck on 1 the other day...the rule of them is you can go 50 miles at 50mph or less and not fry the tranny but if your going far i would just take the drive shaft out i think it would be hard to secure the steering and could create a accident if it came loose

Load the front onto the dolly, as long as your dolly is wide enough (most are). Then remove the driveshaft and tie it to the underside of the car. You can remove it from the tranny, but if there is fluid in there, then it will leak out. I never towed a vehicle with the drivershaft hooked up and the tranny in netrual in fear that if you hit a bump just right, it could throw the shifter into drive. Then the tranny is toast....... and not the kind that you eat.

I paid an extra $10 for a trailer when I picked up my Valiant from U-haul. If you can get it started, then it'll be easier to load it on to that than a trailer. If you get a couple of people though, it will be safer and easier to transport with a trailer.
To shift the tranny, disconnect the linkage from the tranny and pop the shifter on the tranny into netrual. The car will start to roll a bit to chuck the wheels before doing that.

Its in good enough shape to safely use a dolly. I can't drive it on a trailer and is doesn't not have ignition keys. What tools do I need to disconnent the tranny linkage and driveshaft removal? I've never had to do this before.
