Hi everyone. I have a question about an engine swap. I have a 1968 fury 1 with a 225 slant 6. I bought and rebuilt a 383 and 727 tranny and want to swap it over. Is there a kit that I can buy to aid with this project? My email is gmaat@shaw.ca. Thanks in advance.

 

I'm not sure if there is a kit or not. I would check with Mancinis. I do know the slant 6 is a different stub frame than the big/small block V8s.

 

i think some of the other parts might be different. like the breaks, the rear end, if you have the small one it WILL break with the 383. springs front and rear. my friends here can give you more things that might be different.

 

Your only problem will be the motor mounts., shorten the drive shaft... Mancinie or Shumakere (sp) should have the motor mounts. Rear is most likely already a 8 3/4 which is fine..
