Header Fitment
#3
What do the headers interfere with on that application? Any info will help. The reason I ask is because I have a set of B-Body headers and my brother is looking for a set for his 65 C-Body and if they fit, that'd be great. The forums would be a lot easier than test fitting.

Honestly, I don't know but, possibly the torsion bars for the front suspension. The thing is, that a '66 is a different car than the '68 and they "may" work.
Back when I was looking, 20 years ago, Hooker was the only company that I could find an application listing for a '68 C body.
Have you looked at the Hooker Header application sheet?
The one thing that I do remember is, that with the headers, if the starter went out, you had to remove the driver's side header to replace the starter.

TTI makes headers that "fit" for c bodies.... these are In My Opinion VERY over priced and don't actually fit seeing as you have to jack up the engine to clear things and from what i understand disconnect your power steering to install them. Bad design as far as im concerned but i have been searching for a year to find a c body header other than them. i am learning to weld so i can make a set good luck

yep,I have heard both good and bad with TTI and most had to bang on em with a hammer. Not much for headers, best bet is to find the c-body specific H.P. manifolds. The passenger side is the same as the b-body but the drivers side is c-body only. There for the b-body one is easier to find but usually cost more. The problem is the torsion bars are narrower on the c-body and there is a fitment issue with the steering column.
