Pulling a dash out of a 73 furry

i had a short under my dash and cant for the life of me figure out how to pull the dash out. i cant see the probelm from just looking under it from the floorboard. any body possibly know how?

What's the problem ?? Have you tried taking the seat out to give you more room ?
Pay specific attention to the feed thru in the firewall and the alt gauge
