71 front end on a 72 challenger

71 and 72 challenger Fenders are different. They'd fit, but they wouldn't look right.

I've seen people do that, but they had to modify couple of thing, because it wouldn't fit right.

You'd probably be better off selling the '71 fenders and buying a set of 72. Since the 72 fit three years, and the 71 only 71 and maybe 70 (not sure here...) you have a set that's a little more scarce than the one's that fit 3 years. The 72-4 ones should be cheaper and easier to find

sell the 71 fenders and buy 72/74 as the side marker lights are different as for fit they will fit but wont look right and there are alot of people looking for original 71 fenders in good condition and if your looking for original 72 fenders ebay is a good place to start but some 72's did come with fiberglass fenders and front clip

72 fenders can be purchased from yearone.com.
I would not sell the 71 fenders. Store them if you must but hold onto them . You may get a 71 one day!!
