Do I need longer rear shocks if I install SS leaf springs?

'73 Challenger. Purely street-driven.

Car will be making over 500hp. I need decent leaf springs that wont wrap up.

I am looking at the Mopar Performance Super Stock springs; these are the style with a stiff front section.

Someone mentioned needing longer shocks. Anyone running SS leaf springs know if this is required?

I bought new shocks just before hearing this and need to know if I should send them back and get longer ones.

Also, I really want the car to sit level left to right (uneven front to back is fine). Are these springs going to make the car sit uneven? Can I counter that by adjusting one torsion bar?

Thanks!!

p.s. Please feel free to suggest other leaf springs, I am not committed to a brand yet.

I have stock leafs on my car w/ 1 leaf added to each side. Just stock shocks front and back.

And im running 11.70s all day, hooking with absolutely no problems. The SS springs will jack it up like a cat in heat..

Adjusting the torsion bars can lower it a bit in the front. Butt hen it'll be even higher in the back with the SS springs.

You can use your current shock , youll loose a little travel on the shocks from the add height, but you wont notice it anyway cause the rides gonna be rougher w/ the heavier springs.
