help ID my probably hemi tranny on 440 challenger -70
Hello!
My father just bought a -70 challenger with a 4 speed manual transmission that he was told is a hemi tranny but we have never took it apart so we can't measure any bearings or count splines.
The problem is that we have to order parts for it because it doesn't sounds that good and it season over here in sweden so we don't want to take the tranny off and wate for the parts.
The numbers is:
9E148704
pp8332779 0178
We know from the last number sequency that it's a pp A833 tranny and far as we know it's dated march 7 1969.
Is the date correct, what tranny is it and is it a hemi?
Anything else we need to know for ordering parts?
Thanks
Stefan

thanks!
sorry but I forgot to tell that the car is not an orginal 440 so the tranny and the engine is not the cars orginal. So it's not matching the VIN. Nothing is orginal on this car so we don't have a clue.
Is there any way to know if it's a hemi tranny when it's on the car?
