I have a volare 1979. The speedometer cable is 60 inch. I wonder if the cable 80-inch willfit. Where I can buy.

Thanks

You came to the right place. First of all no body makes a direct replacment for our cars. Get an 80 inch one for a 1980 something truck. Then you have to replace your plastic adaptor with an older aluminum one and an older style gear. I did it and it works. Go here to order what you need.

get this cable.

Part number 4360.

Get this adaptor.

Part number 13h.

and then get one of these long shaft gears. They can tell you which one by tire size and rear gear ratio.

If you have the original speedo adapter those gears will not fit. That is unless you use the older style adapter. I would check with a speedo repair shop.. They should be able to make a cable the length you need

A quick search turned up this http://www.speedometersolutions.com/...eter_cable.htm

I did this on my F Body and it worked like a champ. It had a shorter cable and a plastic housing and plastic gear that I sold to someone else. He would have to buy all three pieces that I mentioned above. When you change tire size such as I did I had to source a new gear and good luck with finding one of those plastic ones for the plastic housing.
