Question D100 Power Steering

Is there a kit to convert a non power steering 1961 - 1971 D100 to power steering? We've got a 1965 D100 that we're trying to convert to power steering. I've looked on line for it & can't come up with anything.

On the sweptline forum they discussed using an Izuzu truck for parts. Other than that I suggest you look for a parts truck with power steering.

That has an odd ball steering box. Its going to be very difficult to find as very few had PS. I would guess you need to adapt something. maybe the mentioned Izuzu

Yeah those trucks got a strange looking steering box. Looks like I might have to convert to a regular steering box mounted to the side of the frame with crossover steering.

There's a '66 D-100 parts truck at the local junkyard where I live that has power steering.

I looked into this some time ago and found that a guy used a R+P from a Durango in his setup. He had said that if you are fabrication friendly, you can make that work or weld a home made adaptor plate to the side of the frame, bolt on a later model steering box and build your drag link from there.

Naturally I lost the link but will take another look.
