Please school me on this 69 pickup

Hello all,

I am looking for information and knowledge on this truck. The ad says it is a 1969 camper model p/u. I don't know anything about these old dodge pickups and I am just trying to do some research on it. Any information or pointing me in the right area to do my own research would be greatly appreciated.

The truck has a 318 with a manual trans.

What would you guys put on this truck for a dollar amount based off what you have paid or seen people asking for them?

No idea. The Fords for example, that were "camper specials" had the rear axle further to the rear of the truck. If the Dodge being sold "actually is" it surely has heavier springs at minimum, and possibly heavier rear axle. A quick Google (don't you guys use that?) shows a 25 gal gas tank I'm sure heavier tires would be in the mix

Thank you for the reply. I did some searching and found some of that info as well. I also found a website to look up the vin # and style of the vin plate. My main question is how much do you think one of these is worth? I really have no clue if they are rare or how many they made. In my area, Northwest Illinois, I never see them on the road. I found them in the same condition online anywhere from $850-$5,000 as a solid body with minor rust and a motor and trans that haven't moved in 10-20 years. (Most of the sellers claim they were running and driving then)

If you had to put a dollar value on it, what would be a rough price range?

It's worth as much as you will pay for it and as little as the seller will take for it.

I'd think that 850 number should make it yours.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking. 850-1,000 range.

I plan on swaping the body onto a mid 90's 2500 frame with a cummins and manual. The info I have found so far is that the wheel bases are pretty close with both the 69 and the 2nd gen dodge. It would be easier to just buy a cummins and drive it, but I like unique and different. How many 69 dodge pickups do you see rolling around on a 94 cummins frame.
