61 Dodge Suburban
this was a car that I tried to chase down last year when I saw it.I found it this spring at a show-it's an old ambulance but it has a bit of a family connection to the owner. Really interesting car and very original...

Suburban.....NOT!!
It all the time surprises me how people make up model designations for their cars using other makes, Dodge Suburban.....WTF is that? Is that one of those Dodge DeSoto's everyone talks about? It does not speak well of the owner or the rag that is supposedly run by experts that would let it slip by ether.
That is a Dodge Dart Pioneer, Dodge used the nomenclature of Dart Pioneer, Dart Phoenix or Polara on their wagons in 61. Plymouth used the nomenclature Suburban, Custom or Sport in 61.
Never was or ever has been a 1961 Dodge Suburban other than in the owners head!
