Rebuild or "crate engine"?

i 'm having a hell of a time with this P20. does anyone know of a trustworthy place to have my engine rebuilt in the orange county/los angeles area? i can't seem to find any sort of crate engine in a p20, but i may be willing to buy a good running motor that's been pulled out of a car and is somewhat local, if anyone in here happens to have something like that going on.

i'll try them tomorrow. see what they can do. i figure a rebuild would just start it off right. it seems like there was A LOT of "mickey mouse" work on this car that i'm discovering as i pull it apart.

just called them now. said it would be between 2 and 3K to rebuild but that it would take around FOUR MONTHS for them to finish it up.
i don't want that kind of down time. again, anyone local have a good running engine that i can pick up and drop in?
