1999 Dodge Ram intermittant running problem
I am working on a 1999 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9 v8 it runs great going down the road 1 second and the next it is popping out of the throttle body and has no power and does not want to stay running then it will all of the sudden run great for a little while and does it again........... and fuel pressure is at 45 psi......... I have replaced the TPS, distributor cap, crank sensor, and much more..... What is next for me to do? I am open to suggestions..........

Similar symptoms as mine for a month before the fuel pump died. When it finally crapped out you could still hear the pump run, but it wouldnt build any pressure. maybe 5-15 psi. I think the fuel pressure spec on these is 40-45lbpsi. I'm NOT saying to run out and throw a fuel pump at it! Most Autozones rent a fuel pressure testing kit for $160 deposit. Most pumps last 80-120k miles from my experience. I'm on my third with 240k on the 5.2 Ram
