Mileage may not necessarily be worst. But it is a lot of work and expense.. Motor, Transmission, radiator, exhaust and all the other little things. It would be seriously consider a stroked 360

A member on here has installed a 440 in a newer style (03+) Ram in FL. I can't remember his name but he is on my friend list here. Take a look. I think he has it up and running.

You will get worse gas mileage. It would be alot of work but in the end it will be alot of fun.

Checkout 2002ram440, I believe that he used a 727 behind his. The stock tranny will not live long behind a BB.

Have you looked into anything as to why you are getting 11 MPG?

Couple of things that come to mind are fuel filter, tune up, transmission condition, rear axle, tires.

Stock Tranny won't fit an RB440. The 727 on the Big Blocks is different than the LA style motor. There are adapters out though that lets you mate an overdrive automatic. I am looking into that for my 77 D200.
