2003 Ram 1500 Wiper Arm Alignment
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 (Hemi) during a recent snow I started my truck to warm it up and not realizing it until my wipers popped from the ice and snow that I had left the wiper switch on (my stupidity). The wiper motor seems to work fine through all cycles but the wipers are off 45 degrees from where they should be when the switch is turned off.[/font]
I’ve pulled off the plastic cowl from under the hood. I have access to all the guts to the wiper assembly. If I could figure out the original alignment of the wiper linkage crank arm that’s bolted to the wiper motor shaft and the relationship of the key way slot in the wiper posts. I’ve not been to successful finding the right location. Is there anybody out there that might have done this before?
Thanks
John

When I worked in the dealerships we never had a picture of how the linkages were suppose to go. Best thing I can tell you is to set the wipers in the down position, have someone turn the motor on and watch where and how it turns. Once you have that figured out, then you can attach the linkage to the motor according. Thats how I have done it in the pasce on different vehicles and never had a problem.
