need help finding a leak

I have a '96 1500 4x4 w/a 5.2. I noticed that after it runs a while, it leaks water somewhere below the thermostat. At first, I thought it was the thermostat gasket so I replaced the thermostat. It was still was leaking so I borrowed a pressure test kit for the radiator from the parts store. After moving the alternator out of the way I pumped it up and still can't figure out if it's the water pump, maybe the water pump seal, or what is actually leaking. It's coming from directly underneath the thermostat housing as far as I can tell. Anyone had this problem or know what it is? I just don't wanna replace the water pump if I don't have to. From what I can tell it looks like I might as well take the whole front clip off to get to the water pump!

Do you have an aftermarket (chrome) thermostat housing? "They leak."

Regardless the one on there might be corroded / warped.
