So I have been having some weird issues with my R/T lately. When it's warm it likes to downshift at 70 KPH. Also it won't upshift until I punch it and then when it's at WOT (wide open throttle) it will upshift at 2700 RPM. I've tried adjusting the TV cable but it didn't seem to change a thing. Maybe I'm adjusting it wrong. Who knows. I had it up on the hoist at work today I checked the cable below which seems to be alright. So I am left with to conclusions. Either I'm adjusting the cable like a sausage or theirs a issue with the valve body. Possibly the valve sticking? though I lean away from that issue considering how it will downshift.

Stupid question considering I work in a transmission shop but I'm just an apprentice and this is driving me nuts. Worst comes to worst I will ask one of the builders to give me a hand tomorrow. But any help would be nice! If not when I fix it I will post here to explain for future people with this issue.

 

Ok so the Throttle Valve in the valve body was hangin up when it was hot. I pulled the valve body and found the valve was worn. Gonna put in a Sonnax TV valve and ream out the bore. I'll post up how it works when it's done!
