If you really want one you should come here to San Antonio, there is alot AMC's sitting in peoples back yards and VERY FEW people here know what they are worth. I picked up mine fully restored for $5000 even the tic-tac clock works! The Rambler was picked up for $300 and it would have ran if it had a fuel tank in it, we drove through my neighborhood with a gas can sitting on the pass floor board

Here's one on E-Bay. No money or I'd bid on that.

Have it in N.W. Ill.for an EXTREME Makeover. If I ever get the money, the guy there is going to install an interior, ( currently missing carpet & headliner. Has metal over doors instead of door panels, have a non-matching set that came with car ), install the plastic ( fender flares, bumper ends, & piece below the doors ), remove the roof rack, swap the rear hatch ( currently has heater only, exchange for one with wiper / washer also ), & some other small misc. stuff. Parts & labor, LESS THAN $1,500.00. No more flat black, my chrome will be chrome again. It will actually look like an Eagle again. Will post pictures if & when ever I get it done. Just need to start getting him some money so he can start on it.

A buddy of mine had one of these in 1972 that we used to cruise down Magnolia, in Riverside, CA. Wicked car and it was the first car that I had ever seen with a Mr. Gasket "Vertical Gate" shifter for the 4 speed. Lots of fun!

My 59 rambler 4dr sedan
Use to own a 1959 rambler 4dr sedan with a 3spd manual on the tree and a 196 inline 6 engine. Sucks i had to let it go but ONe thing i really liked about this car was that it was rare, unique and for some reason alot of girls like it!! even had one girl run out of a store screaming "i like your car". i had so many good times in it, BIG TIME HEAD TURNER and I would rather buy one of these cars again than a 55 or 57 bel air. i think they are just bad ***!!
