what are you up to now?
|
Well I've got the front axle mostly together, at least enough to bring it to my house and that is where it sits. I need to take apart the front end and install the axle shafts, some new seals, clock the t-case down a little bit, fix the exhaust lifter for cylinder 5, finish up setting the pinion in the rear 14 bolt, and install the new crossmember at the rear leafs so that I can cut the rest of the frame off. It'll probably take me a good two weeks to finish up but with the snow and cold that we have, plus the lack of a large enough garage, it will have to wait til the spring now.

same problem happened with a friend of mine
he has his car up on the rotiserie, and he just got if off of it. (it was on it for two years) and now hes stuck he was to wait until the spring to continue with the car |
Well I've got some new 1350 yokes in for the axles, ordered a HD 32 spline output shaft kits for the front and rear of the t-case, I'll be picking up some 39" boggers probably next weekend and I've got the whole jeep cleaned off and ready to start working on it again. I'll be picking up an air compressor this weekend so that will make some jobs a lot easier and quicker.

good luck

The 3/8" diff covers, 1350 yokes for the front/rear axles, 1350 yokes and HD 32 spline outputs for the D300, 1.5" long AALs for the rear, 14B disc conversion, and 38.5" boggers are all waiting to be installed. I need to finish gathering what I need for the high steer (DOM tubing and ends) and have some driveshafts made up along with a new tranny cross member and skidplate. Air compressor just need a hose and fitting and I will start to tear into it.
I can not wait. I just want to leave work early and work on that! Pics are coming too. |

http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/DSC02528.jpg Dana 300 twin stick installed. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/DSC02527.jpg How the J10 sitting now. 22" from the frame (at the tranny) to the ground. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/DSC02529.jpg I'll be mounting the tires on the wheels this evening and maybe I'll throw them on to see how it will look. :D |
The tires ar mounted on teh wheels and are bolted to the j10. I have to take apart one tire though as it has a very small leak and I mounted it in the opposite direction from the three others.

looks bad-a$$

I picked up a Lincoln Pro Mig 140 welder today and abused it already. I got all the hangers welded in.... again. The first time, I used a smaller welder that couldn't really handle it. This time.... I was ready for it. Hopefully I'll be welding in the rear crossmember tomorrow evening and cutting off the rest of the frame.

|
Well After some welding, I've got the hangers all set and the new rear crossmember in with the rest of the frame off.

Thanks. I haven't done much on it because of the house. I'm still hoping to get to wheel it this year but there is just too much happening.
|
What year did Jeep first use a buzzer in the J10?
|
Buzzer?
Unfortanately I had to part the J10 out early last summer. We needed the funds for the house. :( |
