Jeep 4.7 swap question.

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L engine. The engine just spun a bearing and messed up a rod. I know I am putting a new motor in it. My question is, are there other options for an easy "bolt in"? Or just replace the 4.7?

the Hemi 345 5.7L crate maybe?

I'm a weekend self taught mechanic, and this is above my current level, and on a budget, so has to be relatively easy.

thanks in advance,
Seth

There's no cheap fix for a 4.7.

Believe it or not that's probably your best bet.

I think Used or a Recon will be the best bet... Just my 2 cents...
