Getting the Barracuda Ready Again

Spent all day today getting the Barracuda ready to race again.... Spent the last year assembling the Challenger and the Barracuda has sat in the side of the garage patiently waiting to get an engine and tranny re-installed... Well, I decided this weekend is the time... Got the tranny and engine in and headers back on, drive shaft in, converter bolts in, headers and collectors on, alternator and most of the underside done... All I lack underside is the mufflers and the tranny cooler lines.. They are attached to the radiator and will be one of the last things done.... Its easier to work on the front side of the engine with it out.... Hope to get it running later this weekend.... Hope to race it next weekend..... the Mopar Sputhern Nationals are Memorial Day Weekend and I have a friend that wants to run it.... Will keep this posted as we go!!!!!

We are up and running.... Well at least the engine is running... I converted the car to foot brake racing before the Challenger... But the Challenger now has auto shift and a two step... So putting that back on the Barracuda... Also have a transbrake on the Barracuda. But will still leave on the "bottom bulb".. Have some additional re-wiring to do but most of it is still there just have to trace it out and re-hook it up...

Race is still on next weekend at SGMP.... Mopar Southern Nationals...

My friend ran the Barracuda this past weekend at the Mopar Southern Nationals.. We were loosing 3rd gear in the 727... It was slipping so bad we put it up.. We did get about three or four passes in but then had to put it away... Now back in the garage and the tranny is out... This was a new rebuild... Tried a local guy instead of my normal man in Jacksonville... Will go back to him and get it done right... That's what I get for trying to get cheap!!! :banghead::banghead:
