Blown 440

Any tips on building a 440 with a blower? It is gonna be for the street with occasional trips down the track (I can hear Capital Raceway from my house) and I am on a budget. Im not looking for ridiculous power (hopefully somewhere in the 500's) so what kind of machining, pistons, head-work, etc... does anyone recommend. Much down the road I plan on stroking the motor, and getting a stronger set-up for more boost.

You will not need a blower for 500 hp on a 440. a decent build will make 500 hp cheaper IMO. Find a nice head/cam combo and up the comp ratio to suit your needs.... just my $.02. Good luck either way.

Very true, I was just trying to go for a 60's-70's style street rod with a big nasty blower sticking through the hood. And I do plan on making more then 500hp eventually, I just wanted to keep it a little lower for now until I can afford a trans and rear end that can handle anything more then that reliably.
