I'm at the Mopar Southern Nationals in Valdosta Georgia. Had a test n tune this morning... First time shot ran a 6.492 @ 108 MPH.... (1/8th mile). Second shot was a 6.495 a@ 108 mph... I'm thinking ......Bring on first round... Between the time shack and my trailer I get a very disturbing noise in my engine... I first thought it was a header gasket leak. But still didn't sound like that... Got back to the pits and checked header gasket and all was well... So pull the valve cover and inspect all and everything is OK.. Pul the plugs and they look OK... So its not something I can fix here... I have a spare engine but its 4 hours away and its just not worth it for a $2,000 race tomorrow... Its raining now and they just got one round in and called the racing for tonite... So, will stay the night and head home early tomorrow... At least I'll get home before dark tomorrow......

Yes Sir it was...... I hope the damage is minimial but will not know until I get it torn down... I will probably put my spare engine in it and then tear this one down when I get time... I had planned on this being the last race for this car for some time... With the Challenger getting out of paint in a couple of weeks I had planned on storing this one for a while. But I didn't want to store it broken.... Anyway, guess I have a lot of work to do now... But it keeps me out of trouble with the wife... If I'm in the garage she knows what I'm doing.....

That is just a heart breaker man but like ya said gives ya something to keep out of trouble with, thank god at least you have the Challenger comming soon thats a hard withdrawl to deal with no race car .... maybe I should swing by to play nurse pass me that socket and do a photo shoot with the cars when mines ready lol

Come by anytime you are anywhere close....... We can compare cars, stories and BS..... If there's one thing that most racers enjoy ALMOST as much as racing its talking about cars!!!!!! And I'm as guilty as them all!!!!!!

Not yet.... I have it out and in the floor... I pulled the pan and nothing looks bad so may not be as bad as first thought... I have to put the A body pan on my spare anyway so pulling it had to be done... Got work tomorrow and will not be back home until Thursday night so will work on getting the spare in sometime next weekend... Got to get this done... The challenger is about out of paint and I want to focus solely on it ....... But want this car running just in case I get an itch and need some speed to cure it....
