Actually, I don't mind the "Stang at all. I had the pleasure to drive an SRT8 with the Hurst 6 speed, and although it was fast, I was not truly impressed by it. I think my little 340 with the 4 gear has more torque, and is just more fun to drive.

...the numbers dont lie. what they should do is make a 426ci version and put it on a diet. i like that they have a six speed with a dual clutch is pretty sweet though...what if they made a dart?

would like like so they say... seen any better concepts from chrysler lately?

They need to make the big block version of the hemi and use it as a special option or something.

Lets invite Mack to join in. No aftermarket parts are available yet for the 2011 SRT8. No blowers....programs or notta. I think they need to come up with a 7.2 liter hemi and that will give anything a run for it's money out of the factory.

Dude I talked to the owner of one this weekend..they have no after market parts for a 2011 SRT8 with a 392 hemi yet. They make all kinds of stuff for any 6.1 L 372 cubic inch 2088-2010 SRT8 Challenger.

They eventually will if they dont, you can allways buy a SC kit and put it on and get some software to tune it...call it the BremerEric Challenger!

The shame is that the Challenger HAD to be based on the old LX platform, or it never would have happened. These things are dictated by the front cradle, and the cowl assembly size. Shame it makes it so tall! Lets see what Fiat/Chrysler things are in the works. Maybe we can give this thing a smaller chassis.

The computer software is proprietary and no one has cracked the code yet. One of the big turbo manufacters has bought one and is in the process of building a under hood turbo charger for it. Dive into the motor and spray some..

First of all all my opinions are based on racing a Chally... That being said . I agree they are NEVER going to be as fast as the Mustangs with the factory blowers... Racing in Stock Eliminator you can't just go to the parts store and pick up a blower or a nitrous kit and bolt them on and go.. Hell we are still using the hyd lifters... Cam lift is limited to around 600... Can't touch the heads... Can only run certain approved pistons and rods..So, my experience is more of what you can't do rather than what you can.... That being said the 6.1 is still a small block in my opinion. 372 " does not make up a big block.. Yes its a Hemi,,, but a small block one... Also the car weights a ton... No actually two tons... Need to lightn her up a buch.... I would love to see a CM 426 Hemi in one of these cars... But where are you going to race it??? Brackets?? That is too much money invested to bracket race.. I do know that severa speed shops around ( Arrington's in Va for one) are putting all types of power adders to get speed out of these cars and they are getting very good power... But it still doesn't fit my type of racing.. I do like to see them going fast.. But I also like to see them going fast in Stock Eliminator.. Some are much quicker than others and we now have to run the Mustangs with the blowers heads up... Not going to be much of a race....

Still prefer the look of the modern challenger over the modern charger, but prefer the look of the old chargers over the old challengers. As for that DART WTF????
