Been missing over a week

Wow, has it ever been a busy week... But a great one for sure!!!!! On Wednesday the 27th my first Grandchild was born... It was a bouncing baby boy of 8 lbs 10 oz and was 22 " long... Had to make a "Road Trip" to Virginia to spend some time with him... Just now getting back home and getting things back to normal... Its quite an experience to see your Grandchild for the first time......

Its amazing just how quickly life can throw you a curve.... So high with the new Grandson and just three weeks ago my step daughter discovered her second melanoma. Her surgeon had her do a DNA test for the Brackatu gene... No news from that yet.. Last week she had the melanoma removed and has gotten the report they got it all.. But her future is still in doubt until they get the DNA report... Then, two weeks ago my wife was told she has breast cancer.... So we went to the same surgeon... He told us that my wife also needed the DNA testing... Because if she has the same gene there is an 80% chance of her getting either breast, ovarian or melanoma... So, no surgery until we know about the DNA test..... So, we have made the most of this and re-evaluated what is important to us and set our focus on that.... But, we all remain positive on this and know that God above will handle this according to His plan....

This has been a week of news and good news at that... Both my wife and her daughter tested negative for the BRACA genes... That is a great big relief... All the prayers were answered.... Still have questions on why so many cancers in her family but we do now know its not the BRACA genes....

After learning the results of the DNA tests my wife contacted her Dr and she has a appointment on Monday and surgery on Tuesday.... At least now we can get on with whipping this once and for all..... After surgery and seven weeks of radiation she will be able to get back on with a normal life...

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers... We ask you to continue to ask God to continue to handle this in accordance to his will........

Wishing y'all the best of outcomes.... Prayer...

You know we all have that terrible cancer inside of us. And we never know when it will raise it's ugly head. Body chemistry is so weird.

Today the day we were looking for... Surgery went off without a hitch..... Dr. said nothing there he didn't expect... Removed the tumor and two lymph nodes. All will be sent to pathology to check them all out... If the lymph nodes are clear no chemo... If they have cancer cells then chemo first then radiation. Will have the pathology report by the time we have the first follow up visit on Monday 27th.... Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers sent our way......

Dr. visit with the surgeon post surgery.... all margins on the tumor are clear..... Both lymph nodes are clear.... Best news we could have hoped for.... Treatment will now only be seven weeks of radiation.... 35 treatments in seven weeks.... Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for us both!!!!!
