Once again Scott and I are on the same wavelength...My radios aren't even hooked up... I just listen the motor, that's all I need and want.

Almost always old rock and country, very little of anything past about 1999. And it's dangerous for me to hear "Radar Love" ANYTIME I'm behind the wheel with horsepower in check.

I love Outlaw Country! But I have to listen at home, since neither car has a radio.

OK, let's see here....

Only the Durango has a radio. I don't drive it that much. My daily driver is an 03 Tiburon GT 2.7L, 6 speed. It's fun and fast and has race suspension and a Stage II clutch. Yes, this is the ONLY car I've EVER owned that is not a Mopar. So no bashing...lol.

So when I drive this car, I completely rock out. I listen to many genres to include psychobilly, rockabilly, outlaw country, punk, metal, industrial, EBM, speedcore, terrorcore and classic rock. I adore music.

Lately my psychobilly favorites include:

The Hard Money Saints, in particular songs called Devil Girl, Rounder and You're Scarin' Me etc etc. These guys are close friends of mine and you should check them out.

Nekromantix, songs Nekrofelia, Subcultural Girl, Horny in a Hearse, etc etc.

The Meteors, songs Corpse Grinder, Little Red Riding Hood, Love You to Death, Blue Sunshine etc etc

Of course, if you punch these songs up online, you'll see that these are good for things other than driving too.....~smirk~

When I'm mad lately it's been Danzig or Coal Chamber.

And I really am not a zombie. I promise.

my work car have stereos

I've got a 83 Toyota Carola as my cheap work car it has a kick *** stereo 12 in sub mtx 800 watt amp ect . in that i play all sorts of cool tunes that help keep me calm . everything from louie Armstrong wonderful world , seekers , credence clear water revival , pink Floyd , rolling stones , dire straights , oh so much cool tunes , stuff you can sing along to . old folk songs heaps & heaps way to much to list . i think alot of the older people would like my tunes , the latest & heaviest tunes are from a local brissy band called dreamkillers there wicked , this morning i was cranking choirboys run to paradise driving though the city at 5 am the loudest car stereo at that time in the morning . i'm glad i have a stereo that challenges the young doof doof heads with old school stuff .
ps the theme songs that i mentioned in the other tread is music that describes me . ultra don't like techno , rap , doof doof , Chic's music , i like songs that mean stuff & tell stories . i love amazing grace
like i said these are my calm stay calm soothing melody songs .

Mondo's a good dude. Nich is the drummer and he's a good kid too. Jack is a really great guy and...remember reference to Ford guy?

No, I'm not biased AT ALL.....

They're playing tomorrow at the Seattle Tattoo Festival. How cool.

There's a very good rockabilly band out this way called the Filter Kings. Very good sound they have and excellent song writing. Got a friend that sits in with them from time to time on the drums.
Other than that, I still listen to rock mostly (right now anyway, Im old ya know...}. I like Soundgarden and STP, from that era somewhat I guess. But I think what car I am driving kinda steers me in certain music directions. When I was into VW's, I used to listen to the Greatful Dead. The 73 Polara, 70's rock. Now I've got this Dodge pickup and kind of leaning towards classic country, maybe because ther was a George Strait AND a George Jones casette on the fron seat when I bought the truck. I dont know, got to get used to this 4 wheel drive thing.
