I have seen way too many of these.... Read and follow the advise on the link above.... Due to this we NEVER even start a burnout in low but always in second and then pull it back into high.. And this is the reason we run a carbon fiber shield that covers most of the front half of the tranny.... I personally have never had this happen to me but one of my racing buddies lost a 727 last year exactly the same as reported in the A-Bodies report... I've never seen this happen to a street car.... Always at the drag strip.......

My friend blew his trans, he had a Cj. Went down the street and said, "Watch this!" went to floor it, BAM. All over the main road.
