New toy

So I ended up picking up an 03 Honda TRX 400EX quad the other day from Heather's Brother's friend for cheap. He said that it needed work, which it did, but all it really needed was someone who knew how to fix things (I'm still looking for that person myself. lol).

It needed front tires, brakes all around, lights, wiring, and some TLC.

I got all new brake pads installed (only took 3 f#*k!n nights ), new tires (what a pain in my @$$ to swap), a newer, nontorn to hell, seat, new driving lights, some nuts and bolts to help hold the body to the frame, and all the wiring fixed that needed to be. Up next is a new airbox as this one is cracked and missing the lid (should be in this week), then either a new muffler or skid plates.

Here are a couple of pics.

Now I'm not a quad kind of guy, I like my 4wd, but I just couldn't pass up this deal. I have taken it out into the woods (my kind of riding) and beaten the cr@p out of it and it begs for more. Seem to me like we will get along just fine.

I have a form of insomnia so I don't really sleep that much.

Who says I don't already? Behind my girlfriends' parent's house there is a field where I already tried running down a deer. He just happen to be able to turn sharper than i could. I'll get him next time though.

If I could I would but the amount of dirt and mud that gets kicked up into my face is nuts.

I went out on sunday and the left rear wheel came off, the holes for the studs went from being 7/16 to 7/8, and I lost all but 1 stud. Heather's brother was nice enough to give me a new set of wheels and tires for it though. these should be good.

New tires and wheels.

man banshees should be great . there a close ratio rz 350 motor its been in use since the early 80's there so cheap to fix compared to others . they whoop four strokes on the drag strip . that's my 2 cents worth .

I went out on sunday and......

BAM! right into a tree. We went out to a state park and were riding some hardcore trails and my front end just happen to hop up when I got on the throttle a little and the left rear tires dug right into a rut and threw me (meaning me and the quad) right into a tree. I stayed on the quad and only hurt my wrist but other than that i'm fine. I couldn't stop laughing though.

haha dats funny. im a big *****, i wear a chest protector when i ride dirt. one day i thought i was slicker than everyone else and decided to hit my own path. there was a small water ditch in front of me and a small hill after. i though wit a little speed i'l go over it no problem. just when iwent over the water i hit a rock so hard it i flew into the hill in front of me. lmao couldnt stop laughin either. i was laughing alone so it made it funnier
